The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards are to be held on August 20, 2018 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The 35th annual award show will air live from the venue for the 12th time, the most of any previous venue in its history.

The live show is taking place in New York City this year, and MTV has released some of the big names scheduled to the stage at Radio City Music Hall. More names may be announced leading up to the show on August 20, but here’s who you can expect so far.

With Nicki Minaj’s eyes dialed in on her August 17 release date for Queen, the “Chun-Li” MC is doing everything in her power to have a splashy rollout. On Thursday afternoon (August 9), MTV announced that Minaj will perform at the 2018 Video Music Awards from a surprise remote location in New York City.

Minaj’s inclusion bolsters the already starry roster of performers slated to touch down at Radio City Hall on August 20. Along with Minaj, Travis Scott, Post Malone, Logic, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes and this year’s Michael Jackson Vanguard recipient, Jennifer Lopez, will grace the stage too.

Earlier this week, Minaj announced on Instagram her new Beats 1 show Queen Radio. “I’ll be conducting a live Q&A portion of my very first show. Prizes for the best comments & questions include signed albums, signed merch, tour [tickets], AND plane tickets to discuss #QUEENw|ME & other members of the magical KINGDOM,” Nicki wrote.

The 2018 VMAs will air August 20 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.

Grande will hit the stage to perform her new single “God Is a Woman” from her upcoming album Sweetener. The newly engaged pop star is nominated for her song “No Tears Left to Cry” up for Video of the Year and Best Pop Video.

Shawn Mendes is nominated for Best Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Pop Video for “In My Blood.” According to THR, the 20-year-old will perform a rendition of his hit song.
